This is the rubber training bow “Hicchū-Yumi.”
A hole is drilled into the side of the grip (the sobaki side) to thread the rubber through, allowing you to better experience the traditional iriki feeling unique to Japanese bows.
Because of this structure, which enhances the irimi effect, the rubber is pulled at a right angle to the side hole. To reduce the localized stress created during use, the edges of the hole are chamfered.
The square frame above the logo can be used to write your name for easy identification.
The Nigirikawa grip covering is available in four colors, so you can choose your preferred style.
[TPE Material (Synthetic Rubber)]
TPE has rubber-like elasticity (elastomer properties) and is also used for training tubes.
Unlike natural rubber, it does not show noticeable changes in appearance even when exposed to direct sunlight or air.
To distinguish it from natural rubber and to make it easier for the fingers to hook when drawing, a textured tube is used.
Cautions
– Never draw the bow toward a person. Always follow the instructions of your instructor.
– Before and after use, check the wood and rubber for damage, and ensure the rubber knots are not loose. Replace the rubber or re-tie the knots when necessary.
– Shortening the rubber from its original length increases the load and makes it more likely to break.
– Direct sunlight and UV rays accelerate rubber deterioration. Store indoors away from direct sunlight.
– For safe use, keep the bow away from fire or heat sources.
